Gateway Tracking Club is offering classes for the following:
Beginning Tracking - class for the novice tracker or the novice tracking dog. 8 weeks $100.00
Intermediate - class for someone who wants to refresh tracking skills 4 weeks $ 60.00
Vst - class for the Variable Surface Tracking dog title. 6 weeks $125.00
The Beginning classes would meet in grassy fields at Kircher Park, located on Williams Rd on the south side of I-44, field on Antire Rd next to the police firing range (again off I-44), or on the campus at SIU Edwardsville IL on Saturday or Sunday mornings at 7 am and would last approximately 2 hours depending on the number of participants. Number of applications accepted for the class depends on number of instructors. We try to limit class to 3 students per instructor.
Next Beginning class is set for January 21, 2012 8 am.
Dates for classes Jan 21, Jan 28, Feb 4, Feb 11, Feb 18, Feb 25, Mar 3, Mar 10

An Intermediate Tracking Class is being offered. The class will run for 4 - 5 weeks and will begin meeting at the Route 66 State Park in Eureka. First class will be on January 21 at 10 am following the beginning class.
The cost of the class is $60.00 - make check payable to Gateway Tracking Club - and is limited to 6 students. This class will concentrate mainly on starts, turns and line handling.

The VST class would meet either the UMSL campus on Natural Bridge Rd or the SIU Edwardsville campus. Actual time and place would be set by the instructors. Class would have to have 6 students.
